Things to let go of...

We are well underway on our 5 Day Reset this week and I was thinking about all the things I'm letting go of while I'm participating myself. So, I thought I'd share some ideas on non food related things that you can think about letting go of when you're feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated or just need a chance to recharge.

1) Stop mindlessly scrolling at night. I know for some, it's a way to wind down after a long day. But how does it help you? Do you end up feeling better or do you feel worse? If you wake up in the morning instantly regretting staying up late for that reason, that's a good sign you need to let it go. Instead, try picking up a book you've been wanting to read! Reading also helps tire your eyes so you fall alseep faster. For some reason, I always end up sleeping way better when I fall asleep reading a book versus watching tv. If you're not a reader, give listening to a sleep mediation or some calming music in bed a try.

2) The experiences we had as a child may shape the decisions we make today. If there was pain involved, the sooner you take a deeper dive in understanding this concept, the more likely you'll be able to stop repeating these patterns of self-sabatoge, and/or feelings of unworthiness. Honor yourself for surviving whatever trauma or pain you've experienced, acknowledge the strength and resilience you've developed from it, and give your inner child a chance to heal so you, as an adult, can move forward.

3) Time is the only resource we can't make more of. Use it wisely and evaulate where you spend most of yours. Let go of whatever is wasting it.

If you need guidance around any of these things, you're always welcome to schedule a free consultation. My goal is to help as many women feel their best, not just in their bodies, but also in their minds.
